Nice vintage double bass from the early xxxx's. Serial No. xxxx puts it in xxxx. Made by the H.N. White Company, Cleveland, OH. The H.N. White family of basses are felt by many to be the finest-sounding plywood basses in existence and represent a simple, but very well built, wholly American slant on the upright bass--little trim, basic finishes, quality metal tuners, and plywood construction. Spruce top and maple back and sides.
The original "King" decals are in perfect condition - even the one on the tailpiece! Very rare. Full-size (4/4) in excellent condition with gut strings and wound gut strings on the E and A strings. Has a rich sweet sound. Bow is included.
